Two Dayton-area companies made the ranks of Forbes' 500 of America's Best Midsize Employers.

Landing within the top 100, Sinclair Community College ranks No. 93 on the list.
Sinclair Community College, with nationally ranked academics, offers more than 220 programs for its 18,000-plus students. It is Dayton's second-largest college and has five campuses in the area.
The college recently purchased the Far Hills Church, located at 5800 Clyo Road, to turn the 100,000-square-foot property and 40 surrounding acres into an educational, cultural and community enrichment center.
Sinclair is working to add two new bachelor's degree programs, Bachelor of Applied Science degrees in Aviation Technology and Unmanned Aerial Systems. The college's applications for the programs sit with the Higher Learning Commission for final review.
Dayton Frieght Lines ranked No. 364 on the list of 500 employers.
Dayton Freight Lines Inc. — an LTL, or less than truckload carrier — employs about 560 people locally, and 4,200 total, to serve a 13-state market. The company is based in Vandalia and also operates a service center in Huber Heights. The company in February opened its fifth center in Kentucky.
As the 12th-largest company based in the Dayton region, Dayton Freight posted $490 million in revenue for 2016, according to DBJ research.
In total, 21 Ohio companies landed on this midsize employers list. Also in nearby Butler County, Cincinnati Insurance Company in Fairfield ranked No. 223.
